Downtown Opelika Hosts 2nd Annual Pride Weekend

Pride on the Plains, the local LGBT Pride organization will celebrate Gay Pride Month in downtown Opelika with the 2nd Annual Pride Parade on Friday, May 31 in Historic Downtown Opelika. This year, Ambrosia Starling will be Grand Marshall of the parade. Ambrosia, a longtime political advocate for LGBT Rights is an icon for her outspoken stance on LGBT rights in the state. The 7th Annual Taste of the Town

The 7th annual Taste of the Town will provide an entertaining evening at the Museum of East Alabama featuring food from area restaurants and assorted beverages on Tuesday, April 23, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. From appetizers to desserts, local chefs will showcase a tasting of their best dishes, while a silent auction will feature a variety of items and packages. Czech National Symphony Tour Comes to Opelika

The Czech National Symphony Orchestra will perform Monday, February 18 with Mezzo-Soprano Isabel Leonard at the Opelika Center for the Performing Arts as part of East Alabama Arts Performing Arts Series.
